​Worked in a diverse environment requiring high levels of attention to detail, problem solving, and multitasking. Conducted employee opinion survey with approximately 4,000 employees. Data was then analyzed and made into reports. Assisted in planning and coordinating large employee recognition events for between 16 to 700 guests depending on the event. Designed weekly staff newsletter and assisted with internal communication. Finally, developed a brand new employee recognition event celebrating over 100 of Whistler Blackcomb's top managers and supervisors. Event included a short recognition video interviewing some of these accomplished leaders. This video will be used as a training tool in the future.

Providing youth team coaching (ages 6-18) and lesson planning for a variety of needs, abilities, interests and ages. Additional responsibilities have included event planning and summer/ winter camp supervision.

Provided supervision and engagement with children ages 5 to 12 in a fun, exciting, and high-energy environment. The camp activities ranged between general sports, swimming, rock climbing, hiking, dance, geocaching, crafts, and drama. All aspects of the job required risk management assessments, diverse communication skills, and the ability to be imaginative and flexible in all situations. Responsibilities also include planning and preparing weekly camp schedules.

Provided assistance to Power to Be Staff on multi-day out trips with struggling youth aged 12-13. Responsibilities include engaging with the participants in order to enhance their outdoor experience, risk management, cooking, assisting with camp set up, and before trip prep. Out trips include hiking, kayaking, canoeing, surfing, and snowshoeing.

Chaperoning 10 students ages 12 –18 on an eight-day outdoor climbing experience. Responsibilities included developing a meal plan, procuring supplies, cooking, and general care of participants.

 

 

Stelly's Secondary School - Global Perspectives Class 

March 2008

 

After raising $21,000, 20 students including myself travelled to Peru and built an elementary school to serve five communities. Additionally, we installed environmentally friendly mud stoves into community homes.
